We need volunteers to help at our Brides for a Cause charity wedding dress sale in San Diego on November 14-17 at the Wyndham San Diego Bayside! Please sign up for shifts below. Scroll down to learn more about duties you’ll be assigned to during the event.
Here are some of the responsibilities you’ll be assigned to:
Duties during set-up:
• Unload dresses off the trailer and wheel them into the event space
• Arrange the racks on the sales floor
• Remove tarps from the dress racks
• Straighten up racks
• Set up accessories
• Set up fitting room area
Duties during the sale:
• Greet and check-in brides as they enter the event
• Help brides select wedding dresses
• Help brides in the fitting room try on the dresses
• Remove unwanted dresses out of the fitting room and back onto the racks
• Straighten up the dresses
Duties during tear down:
• Consolidate dresses
• Tarp the dresses
• Wheel the dresses out to the trailer and help load it
• Box accessories and tear down fitting room
What to Wear?
Please wear a pink or black shirt! Jeans, slacks, skirts are all accepted. Wear comfortable shoes as you’ll be on your feet!
Feel free to sign up for multiple shifts and invite your friends, colleagues, family members! Men are welcome for all shifts, especially for set-up and tear down so bring them along!
No experience necessary
You don’t need to know anything about wedding dresses, though it’s always helpful. We are looking for fun, passionate volunteers who want to help brides find their dream dresses! Everyone is welcome!
We are taking our wedding dresses “on the road” to San Jose, CA thanks to Gabrielle Bridal Atelier. We’ll be at the Courtyard Marriott in Campbell, CA starting Thursday, January 31 – Sunday, February 3, 2013. If you are in the San Francisco area and still looking for your dream dress, we hope you can make it during our 4-day event. We’ll have a ton of designer wedding dresses as well as dresses that start at just $150. Best of all, this road show will support the Northern California chapter of Wish Upon A Wedding, so your purchase will help provide weddings for couples in your area!

For the past 6 months, we’ve been collecting wedding dresses from bridal stores and individuals across the country. We are excited to finally unveil them to all of our Portland brides at our first road show on January 17-19 at The Laurelhurst Club. More than 800 wedding dresses will be featured at the event. Prices start at just $150, but we’ll have designer dresses too, some that retail at $5,000. All dresses will be discounted up to 75% off. Even though all of our dresses have been donated, it doesn’t mean they are all used. More than half of our inventory is brand new donated by high end bridal stores around the country. Here’s your chance to find a great dress at a great price and help those in need. 50% of the proceeds will go directly to our partner charity, Wish Upon A Wedding, a non profit organization that provides free weddings for couples in need.
