If you have experience in retail, we’d love to hear from you! If you have prior past bridal experience we’d REALLY love to hear from you!

We’re hiring at ALL 3 LOCATIONS! Apply today to work at our Portland, Tacoma or Seattle stores! This is a great way to get your foot in the door and be a part of a cause that’s bigger than any one of us!  If you have 1-2 years in retail sales or previous alterations/design/bridal experience we’d love to hear from you!

What the job entails:

  • Greeting brides as they enter the boutique, explaining the layout of the store
  • Starting fitting rooms for brides, assisting them as they try on the gowns
  • Offering up alterations advice and possible changes that could be made to the dresses
  • Selecting gowns for brides
  • Helping to “sell” the dresses without being pushy
  • Helping to provide a friendly, low-key environment with great customer service
  • Clearing dresses out of the fitting rooms, putting dresses back onto the racks, organizing the racks
  • Checking-out brides, bagging up the dresses
  • Represent our brand, communicate our mission /charities we support to customers

Pay/Benefits

$15.00-$17.00/hr depending on experience + potential bonuses as sales goals are reached.

We’re Hiring in Seattle!

WE’RE HIRING!

Looking to get into bridal or continue your career in bridal? Brides for a Cause is opening a location in Seattle in early March and looking for fun, professional candidates to join our team!

Since 2012, we’ve collected over 10,000 wedding dresses and given away over $500,000 to local and national charities through recycling designer and brand name wedding dresses!

BOUTIQUE MANAGER

We are hiring a boutique manager to oversee this new location. The boutique manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the boutique. This includes staffing, administrative, inventory, marketing, events and sales, among other duties. The manager will be expected to work 40 hours a week and must be available to work weekends. The ideal candidate will have experience in bridal. Alterations/fashion/retail/sales will also be considered. But those with prior bridal experience are encouraged to apply! Additional benefits included in this position to be discussed during the interview process.

FULL-TIME SALES ASSISTANT 

We’re hiring an assistant to the manager, who will assist with day-to-day operations of the boutique. Duties include selling wedding dresses and assisting manager with inventory, events, social media needs. This position is 5 days a week, roughly 35-40 hours a week. Must be able to work weekends. Flexible, consistent schedule worked out with the manager. Additional benefits included in this position to be discussed during the interview process.

PART-TIME WEEKEND SALES 

We’re hiring multiple part-time weekend bridal consultants. These people will be responsible for selling wedding dresses and providing great customer service to our brides. Qualified candidates MUST have experience or interest in retail, clothing and/or alterations. Those with prior bridal sales experience are encouraged to apply! Must be expected to work weekends. Flexible schedule, possibility to gain weekday shifts in addition to weekend shifts.

Volunteer: February 21 – Seattle!

We need volunteers at our Brides for a Cause charity wedding dress sale in Seattle on February 21 at the Fremont Foundry! We’re joining forces with the One Love Wedding Showcase and need help at the event to run the gown sale portion!

Please sign up for shifts below. Scroll down to learn more about duties you’ll be assigned to during the event. See you there!

  • Unload dresses off the trailer and wheel them into the event space
  • Arrange the racks on the sales floor
  • Remove tarps off the dress racks
  • Straighten up racks
  • Set up accessories
  • Set up fitting room area

Responsibilities during the sale

  • Greet and check-in brides as they enter the event
  • Help brides select wedding dresses
  • Help brides in the fitting room try on the dresses
  • Remove unwanted dresses out of the fitting room and back onto the racks
  • Straighten up the dresses

Responsibilities during tear down

  • Consolidate dresses
  • Tarp the dresses
  • Wheel the dresses out to the trailer and help load it
  • Box accessories and tear down fitting room

Helpful Hints

What to Wear?
Please wear a pink or black shirt! Jeans, slacks, skirts are all accepted. Wear comfortable shoes as you’ll be on your feet!

Multiple Shifts?
Feel free to sign up for multiple shifts and invite your friends, colleagues, family members! Men are welcome for all shifts, especially for set-up and tear down so bring them along!

No experience necessary
You don’t need to know anything about wedding dresses, though it’s always helpful. We are looking for fun, passionate volunteers who want to help brides find their dream dresses! Everyone is welcome!


Volunteer at Portland Boutique!

Brides for a Cause is always searching for people who can help around the boutique, especially as we prep for Road Show events! This will include loading wedding dresses on/off the trailer as well as organizing the boutique as dresses return from events! If you are interested in helping at the boutique as opportunities become available, please fill out the form below!
