New charity alert! This year we’re making a focused effort in contributing to nonprofits that have specific missions and programs to protect young girls rights and ending child marriage. We’ve added @unchainedatlast to our list of nonprofits that are addressing child marriage.
Unchained at Last is a survivor-led nonprofit dedicated to ending forced and child marriages in the United States through a two-pronged approach of direct services and systems change. To date, they have provided crucial legal and social services to more than 1,200 survivors, and have helped to ban all marriages before age 18, without exceptions, in 16 US states.
Our $20,000 donation this year will help Unchained at Last continue their critical work of some supporting survivors and pushing systems change nationwide.
