(FOX40.COM) — Operation Wedding Gown is in full force this weekend as Brides for a Cause gives away free wedding dresses to military brides and first responders across all of their boutique locations, including one in Sacramento.
From Nov. 7 until the 11th, Brides for a Cause is teaming up with Brides Across America to host a special wedding dress giveaway at five of its boutique locations in Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Sacramento and San Diego. This event in particular aims to recognize Veterans’ Day and honor military brides and first responders.
During the event, qualified and registered brides may choose a free wedding dress from its entire inventory. Each store is prepped and ready, stocked with 700 wedding dresses to choose from in sizes 0-28 and available off-the-rack.
Since partnering with Brides Across America, Brides for a Cause has given away over 640 free wedding dresses to deserving brides.
Founded in 2012, Brides for a Cause is a nonprofit organization that collects and resells wedding dresses to raise funds for women’s causes. The nonprofit directs funds raised to support a variety of women-focused charities across the U.S.
Since its founding, the organization has recycled over 45,000 wedding dresses and given away over $3,000,000 to local and national women-focused charities.
